Waffle


Breakfast becomes an occasion when you make waffles. Try this simple egg-free recipe, for the pleasure of the Lord. I use this as a basic recipe and have created so many variations to it, just to name a few, add carob chips in the batter, I have pureed fruit and used it instead of the milk, used condensed milk instead of the sugar and milk, serve with whipped cream and fresh fruit.

Let your creativity roll!! Give this recipe a try, you will be super pleased with the crispy outside and the soft and fluffy inside!!

You will need

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour

  • 4 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda

  • 3 teaspoons sugar

  • 1⁄4 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 2 cups of milk

  • 2 tablespoons water

  • 6 tablespoons butter melted

  • 2 teaspoon vanilla

Method

In a bowl mix all the dry ingredients.

In another bowl mix all the wet ingredients.


Now mix the two, to make a smooth batter. do not overbeat the batter.


If needed add a little water to it to bring it to the right consistency.


Now pour about 1/4th of a cup of batter into your greased waffle maker, mine took a little more than 1/4th cup, put sufficient according to the size of your waffle maker.


Toast to your preferred darkness.

Offer to the Lord with Maple syrup and enjoy His mercy!!
